With all these book lovers on the list, are there any of you who go the non-paper route ("paper route" he he) and listen to your favorite authors?

I have 5 credits at Audible that I need to dole out in the next couple weeks, and could use some recommendations. I've found I like abridged better than un-abridged, most of the time, and a good narrator can make a decent story great (and the same in reverse.)

I listen to Audible books while I work out in the gym. It lessens the time of pain. :)

I listen to books that I am intrigued by but don't really want to read.

I really liked listening to Freakanomics by Leavitt and Dubner
1776 by David McCollough
Einstein by Walter Isaacson

These were all great but I didn't want to have to read them.

Nah. Ears are for Dylan, Springsteen, Beethoven, Ellington et. al.
