Anyone notice that WalMart advertised a 19" Sansui LCD HD TV (720p) for Friday morning at $128? That's almost $50 cheaper than a 19" set at Sam's Club or Costco. I'm sure that sold out about 10 seconds after the doors opened at 5 a.m. Well I was just in WalMart and wandered by the Electronics section, and they were putting several out, still at the $128 price. It was very tempting. And I may yet go back and get it.

never heard of sansui but if it's this one (http://www.amazon.com/Sansui-HDLCD1912-19-Inch-720p-Black/dp/B001QJ7656/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1259699705&sr=8-2), reviews are pretty decent

Back in the day (late sixties, early seventies) Sansui was known for killer stereo systems. I believe soldiers bringing the stuff back from Asia helped popularize the brand.

That's a pretty small teevee. The equivalent standard-def size would be around 16". I guess it would work well in a kitchen or something.
Put four of them together and you get a 37" teevee (sorta) for $512 plus tax. And in fact that's what you can find a pretty good 37" 1080p screen for ($529 all in for a Samsung 37RV525R). So the price is "proportionally correct". I'd rather have the bigger screen.

Small? Maybe, but I can't fit a 56" screen on my desk or on top of the trash compactor (in the kitchen). Right now, some old, inexpensive tube type 13" sets sit there, and they typically only cost ~$100 when purchased years ago. When they do finally go, I hope I can find similarly sized and priced TV's, like the one above. Sometimes, size, or the lack of size, does matter!;) Bigger isn't always better...
