Interested in knowing what folks think of this list (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/The-Quarterback-Power-Rankings-Week-5;_ylt=AsMtqWFuWbu8zXJYb8wMxO9DubYF?urn=nfl,195753 ), which does not include Tom Brady among the 10 best QBs in the NFL.

I'm a pats fan and comfortable with Brady not being in the top 10 so far this season..He's had flashes of his former self but has been way too inconsistent. I think it's just a matter of time though until he gets his timing back and moves right up the list. I don't think he'll be 2007 Brady but likely 01-06 Brady...
That list seems pretty accurate to me. If Tom Brady weren't "Tom Brady", he wouldn't even be in the discussion to be on the list (based on results so far). Put another way, I doubt any of the other QBs on that list overthrow an open Randy Moss streaking to the endzone, as Brady did in the Denver game.
I wouldn't count Brady out, of course, but there are a lot of other great QBs out there, and many of them are playing better than Brady right now.

I thought at first you would be talking about a "who are the best QBs in the league" list. In that case, you can't leave Brady out of the Top Ten. But since this is a "power ranking," focused on short-term performance, then I can deal with it.

Question-- who is the better QB Jay Cutler or Kyle Orton?

After reading the replies on here, I was expecting a better list but some of it has to do with how you read it. I mean Eli and Ben were both ranked really high after carving up the Raiders and Lions. Carving up those teams doesn't scream "great power ranking to me". Also, if you've watched Giant's game, I don't see defenders getting to Eli very much. If I'm ranking QB play and not team play with a QB it's be different. Something like:
1) Peyton Manning
2) Drew Brees
3) Matt Ryan
4) Eli
5) Orton
6) Farve
7) Ben R
8) Warner
9) Hasselbeck
10) Rodgers
Note, that's more off the top of my head than doing a bunch of research so I wouldn't be surprised if it could be improved upon :D. I was trying to find room on there for Flacco and I like what I've seen from Sanchez as well. I agree with others that as a power ranking Brady is currently excluded but I have little doubt that he'll be there by the end of the season. As a Redskins fan it saddens me that not for 1 second did Jason Campbell even cross my mind....sigh.

Why leave Rivers off the list? His O line is terrible, the Chargers D is bottom 10 in the league right now, the running game is nonexistant, and yet he has the Bolts at 2-2, and he almost beat the Ravens. In the Steelers game, SD was embarrased, but he at least put up some fight and plenty of touchdowns in the final quarter. I think he should at least get Warner's spot.

Don't remind me... that little rally cost me a win in my fantasy league.
I know McNabb hasn't played a whole lot this year, but when he has been on the field, the Eagles have been very tough to stop.

Schaub and Rivers are strong candidates but there's only 10 spots :-). I really like Warner but I agree that Rivers is working with much less around him right now than Kurt is. Could be bias based on that whole thing where I just like Warner more (not that I don't like Rivers also). Also, could be ignorance on my part, I haven't seen Rivers play much this year and didn't realize this O-line was so bad. As for Schaub, he could probably also make that list he's put up some good numbers.

Brady has 345 yards and 5 TDs at HALFTIME against Tennessee in the snow. Collins has 15 yds passing for the Titans.
That might put him back into the top 10.

The Titans clearly have some issues in the secondary but Brady had an incredible day given the conditions..5 TDs in the 2nd quarter and 6 overall with almost 400 yards passing in playing only 3 quarters...

As a Redskins fan, I agree.
Brady, Schaub, and Rothlisberger really showed me up :D

My favorite play was the flea-flicker where the Titans defense was so fooled, no one... no one... rushed Brady on the play. They had no idea he even had the ball until he tossed it to a wide-open receiver for a TD.
That Titans have 100% given up on the season. Sad considering how good they were a year ago.
