Anybody have a good recommendation for a FM transmitter for an Iphone? The one we have is very spotty and the reception seems to be degrading. As we looked online, the recommendations are mixed. Thanks!

I have this one, which I bought last Christmas

The reviews for this type of device are generally pretty poor, and I would have to agree. Sound is static-y and some background whirring sounds will come and go. Part of that may be due to my car's antenna being very poor as well, but other reviewers have said similar things.
I mostly listen to podcasts, so sound quality isn't really an issue and the device works for me. If you're an audiophile wanting concert-level sound while you blast your subs, you'll probably be disappointed.
Another issue to note if you have an iPhone 3G is to make sure it's supported. Many of these devices (like mine) will transmit sound but do not charge the device.
I use a basic C. Crane FM transmitter for my portable XM radio. It doesn't charge or anything fancy, but it (allegedly) has a screw inside you can turn to make it broadcast at power a good bit higher than FCC spec. Not that I'd recommend doing that, of course.
If you google "c.crane fm transmitter modification" (no quotes) you can find reference to it.
