Congratulations, Ben63, on getting your Eagle Scout award today.

The requirements for this award include earning a minimum of 21 merit badges, demonstrating scout spirit and leadership within the troop, planning and leading an Eagle service project, and then having a scoutmaster conference and passing an Eagle Scout board of review.

Less than 5 percent of all Boy Scouts ever achieve this rank. Ben joins the company of Eagle Scouts Neil Armstrong, Gerald Ford, Wynton Marsalis, Steven Spielberg and Terry Sanford, among others.

Congrats as well from a former (1990). It is an accomplishment that truly distinguishes you from your peers, and marks you for life. It demonstrates your ability to change the world around you for the better, and at a very young age. You should be very proud of your accomplishment.

Who knew we had so many Eagle Scouts on the board! You're joining an elite and accomplished bunch. And you're just getting started! I'm so happy for the chance to say congratulations!

Thanks everyone!! This was unexpected but truly appreciated. It took alot of hard work and dedication but it was definitely worth it.

For my project I built two bookshelves for the Youth Group building at my church.
