Y'all remember the unfortunate tale of Jack, DukePa's parent's lab. That story touched me; and since I got to know her parents pretty well during our brunchgates I offered to do a portrait of Jack if she found a picture for me to work from. She got me a good one of Jack as a puppy, and I can share it with y'all now that her parents have gotten it for Christmas and seen it. It's one of my favorite paintings, and am real happy it found a wonderful home.
P.S. They told me tonight they are getting a new puppy soon, hopefully I'll get to meet it next time I'm back home.

What a beautiful picture! You are so talented. I'm sure DukePA folks love what you've created to remember Jack.

Thanks, I'm lucky in that I can share what talents I have to make others feel better, at times that can be better than money. This was one of those times; Nancy and Bud both called this evening to say they enjoyed it and it took all the effort I had to keep from joining in the tears. That phone call made a wonderful Christmas even better.

What a beautiful painting and wonderful gift. After viewing I had to look at pictures of my last two Goldens - and shed a tear or two. Thanks for raising the memory. Thanks for sharing.
