It's not snowing here in the Durham. It is a balmy 71 degrees. Come back to Durham fellas!

We've had 3 days of non stop fog. Very creepy, I would gladly change it out for either snow or 70 degree sun.

Agreed. Give me the snow or at least some sun. All these cloudy days are depressing. If something doesn't change soon, I'm going to hang myself with some Victoria Secret, white sheer lacey thigh-high stockings, the kind with the seam in back and preferably a sewn in image of a gecko on or around the ankle.
Sort of like what the lead singer of INXS did, only much more descriptive.
I am kidding....and I apologize.

I'm leaving Durham at 4 am tomorrow for two weeks in NJ. I'm hoping any snow holds off there until tomorrow. Then I'm hoping for two straight weeks of snow. :-) One can hope.

I'm hoping for snow AFTER you arrive in NJ, and that it lasts for two straight weeks too. I'd hate for you to have two crooked weeks of snow. Ha ha ha, jeez' I'm killin' myself.

We have had snow and then freezing rain--never a good combo. Streets are ice covered, tree limbs are ice covered (pretty, though) and power lines are threatened. I have books, beer and power. My cable still works and I have managed to clear my driveway. Things are not all bad.:)

And hopefully you have a good supply of flashlights and batteries or candles. If so, even if you lose the power you're still in good shape -- and hey, Winter = free refrigeration for your beer!

Same here in NYC. Snowed today then turned to hail/sleet. That's the story at this time as I write. Dog and I looked like ice statutes when we returned home just a few minutes ago.

And to make things even better, my wife is making Christmas cookies. If the power does go out, I will eat cookies, drink beer and read by flashlight. Isn't that how Honest Abe got his start?;)

Ice encrusted snow here in Nebraska; high temp of 4! scheduled for Sunday.
Not much better at home - anywhere from 4-11" of snow, where no plows, plus above 30 during the day and below 30 at night means ice sheets for roads.
Earljam, I'll trade ya places!

Hey, DA, watchoo doin' in Nebraska? And which part?
I know it's been snowing in the Seattle area, but there's usually no need to leave Puget Sound for the blizzardy midwest. (On further, thought, I'm betting family at the holidays. -- Merry Christmas.)

It rained all day here in PA (Lancaster) and stayed at a nice and cold 35 so the ran did not freeze. So nothing more than a miserable, wet, cold day.

I'm in Seattle for the Holidays, well actually Spanaway which is just south of Tacoma by Ft. Lewis and McChord AFB. It is snowing, snowing, snowing with more on the way. Like DA said, the roads are sheets of ice:

I should have went to Fayetteville for the Holidays.

I had purchased a six of G. Lakes's Ed. Fitz. Porter a few days ago. Our son and our son in law each like porter and as they are arriving (with their spouses and our grandchildren) in a few days I thought the choice would be pleasing. Now I will be "forced" to make another beer run--more of the same, I believe. I am hoping the son in law, who is driving from Fort Collins, brings me a special Christmas treat!:)
BTW, still love that beer--turning out to be one of my favorites.
