HBO is showing a 4 part mini series. Has anybody started watching, and is it any good??

Evidently Saddam was not a nice man, but I think we knew that to begin with. Having watched the first two hours, I wonder why they made this movie. Reasonably well produced and acted, but absolutely nothing new in it thus far.
