I have now heard that sentiment for the 1,234th time this weekend.

By the very definition of the word, is it really even possible to "control your destiny?"

Yes, you are correct. It's a crappy phrase and I'm over it. However, I get more ticked off when I hear "true freshmen"! Ok so how many red shirts are there in the world to justify this phrase? And don't give me bologne about it referring to mistakes. "True freshmen" must be banned from sports vernacular forever.
