We're talking sandwiches folks. PBJ, Fried Banana, etc.
I'm a fan of creamy peanut butter. Chunky peanut butter has it's place, like in some recipes that call for a peanut sauce but it's all about the creamy peanut butter for my sandwiches.

I like peanut butter ok, except with bananas... it's my wife's favorite peanut butter dish, and I just cannot stand it. I do enjoy PB&J with crunchy PB, and I'm guessing there's some peanut butter in Thai food, so PB is fine by me.

I love chunky peanut butter. My favorite is PB&J, though I'll have a PB and cheese (sharp cheddar) every once in a while. Oh, and sometimes right out of the jar. :)

I like chunky but my wife only buys reduced fat creamy (from Peter Pan), so that's what I eat.
Tilly, try putting a slice of Velveeta between the peanut butter and jelly. Yum!

Creamy PB made crunchy by adding a stack of sea salt and vinegar chips between the PB and the J. Cheetos and Doritos work nicely too!

Creamy or chunky, never with jelly, smashed pot chips inside. Yum.
Smeared on sliced apples is good, too.
Costco has an excellent organic creamy, just nuts and salt.

I love chunky, but since this is for sandwiches I voted creamy. Can't spread the chunky well enough. But it's the best on celery.

Creamy all the way. I can tolerate chunky, but that's it, tolerate. This past school year in Korea almost drove me nuts, CostCo(the source for things Western in Seoul) stopped carrying Skippy creamy peanut butter. Instead, we had Skippy chunky, and a month later they also had Jif chunky. Ugh. Had to bring a few things of creamy back with me at Christmas time for some real PB&J.

Missed that one. I like caramel sauce better.
Also omitted PB ice cream, as long as it has CC, fudge and pecans or cashews, too.
No beer float with that one, though:p.

To all the PB and "other" lovers, you should submit your favorite peanut butter abominations to the Recipe Thread. :D

I love me some peanut butter. All I need is a spoon and a jar of Peter Pan.

Okay, that's not a fair poll. There are those who are not commies, but who are deathly allergic to peanuts. I personally LOVE me the PB (smooth Jif), but I have friends who are allergic. They deserve their own slot in the poll. ;)

Friends with the allergy gene must also share a latent communist gene. Just kidding. Good point. I shall try to take fatal allergies into account for my next food poll.

Chunky, all natural, no additives PB. PB does not belong anywhere near jelly. PB and fluff, PB and apples, PB and celery.
My favorite:
Pitted dates, stuffed with PB, and rolled in sugar. Yumm!

Ooo, I also like peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate.
Sorry, 2535miles, I don't have a recipe for them. Especially after I found out how many calories are in one ball.

Recipe, from Smuckers (http://www.smuckers.com/sk/recipes/desserts/buckeyes.asp)
Buckeyes
1-1/2 cups Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter
2-1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips or chocolate coating
Melt chocolate. Mix peanut butter, sugar, margarine, and vanilla until semi-dry and crumbly. Shape into 1/2-inch balls. Dip balls into melted chocolate, leaving the top of the ball uncovered to resemble a buckeye. Place balls on wax paper lined baking pan. Refrigerate until set.
Makes approximately five dozen.

We had a thread on this before.
Chunky. Prefer all natural with salt. Trader Joe (best buy for the price), Laura Scudder or Adams. To avoid the extra fat and its calories, pour off the oil instead of mixing it in. (Hydrogenated brands do not have oil floating on top; plus they usually add some sugar.)

Mama Turk makes buckeyes at Thanksgiving... not sure the exact recipe but this looks pretty close....
She'll also make Easter eggs (same recipe, I think, just egg shaped and completely dunked). Milk chocolate for PB eggs, dark for coconut....
Me, I generally go creamy PB an inch thick, no jelly, chase with quart of milk. But every once in a while for variety, I'll slather some PB on each piece of bread, get a jar of roasted peanuts and sprinkle a handful on the sandwich, and then put the two pieces of bread together. Some serious crunch there....

You have to post Mama Turk's recipe in the Official Recipe Thread. We need more entries!

There exists only one acceptable peanut butter on earth.
This is Kroger house brand creamy. I don't know if it's the roast or if Erin Andrews stuck her pinky finger in it, but it's perfect. There are no Krogers within about a 50 mile radius of our house (probably a Schnucks regional deal). I buy half a dozen jars every time we're out of town.

Ohhh, this could quickly devolve...
I prefer Peter Pan Extra Crunchy, though I do enjoy natural pb for certain things. When I spent a semester in France, all they had was natural pb in a can! So my mom dropped a wad on mailing me a pound jar of Peter Pan. And about ten packs of Bubble Yum. Bubble gum in Europe sucks.
The best pbj is made with homemade muscadine jam. You'll NEVER go back to Concord.
An amazing treat: toasted wheat bread, crunchy pb, apple slices, crisp bacon, and drizzled honey. Yum.
And then, of course, there is the giant spoonful right out of the jar. With a cup of hot chocolate.
