High Fructose Corn Syrup Commercials

I figured I'd start a new thread rather than hijack the Microsoft commercial thread.

Anybody else completely disgusted by the commercials that have just come out promoting high fructose corn syrup? Here's a link (http://www.sweetsurprise.com/tvads.php?vid=Party.flv) to one of them.

As always, read labels before you buy!... especially since high fructose corn syrup has now been dubbed natural (http://www.corn.org/HFCSnaturalFDAclarification07-08-08.htm).

The only time I buy Karo syrup, which is a brand name for hf corn syrup, is at Thanksgiving and Christmas when I make my delicious pecan pies. There is no substitute for Karo syrup in this case. The pies are delicious, even if they are so sweet they turn your teeth inside out.
The rest of the year I avoid the stuff. I purchase very little processed food. You gotta read labels!

Corn sucks!

Can I add that only processed corn-based products suck? I love me some corn-based foods (tamale, tortilla, chips, on-the-cob, etc).

To make this post more relevant, I bought a case of Mexican coke at CostCo the other day. Corn-syrup free, and tastes better IMO.
