Does anyone here have a Trikke? Has anyone tried one? I read this article about Trikkes (http://www.newsobserver.com/105/story/1147818.html) in the N&O yesterday. I remembered seeing people ride their Trikkes on the trails in San Jose and they looked like they were having fun.

After reading the article yesterday, I decided to order a Trikke. It should be here in August.

Those of you who have ridden Trikkes, are they hard to ride? Difficult to balance? Did you need lessons to learn to ride the Trikke?

I can't believe I bought this thing without taking it out for a test drive.

I'm in. Where do you buy them?

www.trikke.com

I called one of the sporting goods stores nearby, and they were sold out by 10:00 this morning after the article ran in yesterday's N&O. So, I went to the Trikke website and ordered mine. I even got free shipping.

The "Trouble with Trikkes" is that I, EarlJam, have not heard of them until now. They look pretty cool though. And around these parts (Atlanta), I think one could come in pretty handy.

We have 2 of them and I have yet to master riding the darned thing although I know it is possible. When you figure yours out, let me know how you did it. I did find myself leaning way too far forward on it and went over the handle bars. Oy!
