Congratulations to Coach P., who has been named ACC Coach Of The Year.

It hasn’t always been easy for her at Duke, where she found that following Gail Goestenkors was not always a bed of roses.

This was made more difficult by the inability of some Duke fans to let go of the Goestenkors era.  Some, who really should have known better, actively undermined her at the beginning of her tenure even while they pretended to support her and attempted to profit from the program.

It was one of the more disgraceful episodes of fan "support" at Duke in recent memory.

Anyway, she seems past that point and the team has bought in, and even most of the former malcontents seem reasonably happy.
