Duke fans obviously got a big charge out of the 31-3 victory over Virginia last year. Those who were paying attention understood that Duke was a better team than people realized.

In the first controversy at Kentucky under John Calipari, John Wall got a two-game suspension and was ordered to repay $800 dollars he apparently got from Brian Clifton.

In the first poll of the season, UNC is ranked #4, Duke #8, Georgia Tech #20, and Clemson #24. Maryland just misses at #26. Speaking of Tech, it’s nice to see D’Andre Bell returning. After his injury scare last season, he’s no doubt thrilled to be back.

This is, according to Barry Jacobs, the first time that the ACC has seen three pairs of brothers as teammates, with the Plumlees at Duke, the Wears at UNC, and the Bookers at Clemson. There are some interesting insights on all three sets of siblings, but the Plumlees are up first.
