The season came to an end for Duke women at the hands of Texas A&M, as the Aggies beat Duke, 77-63. Duke had 19 turnovers and struggled offensively throughout the game. Chante Black had another outstanding personal game, with 17 points and 12 boards.

Davidson took Kansas right down to the wire before losing, 59-57. Davidson lost – they could have won – but they took a powerhouse team to the absolute limit before bowing. Yet they could have won and maybe should have.

That’s great, but he won’t have much freedom to do that, starting in practice. Can he help? We keep hearing he has a lot of fundamental work to do. But if he can rebound and play defense (and presumably block shots), he can definitely help.

The first half of the Final Four is set with two of the most traditional of powers, UCLA and UNC, claiming their regionals.
UCLA’s game with Xavier was somewhat tight for awhile, but the Bruins broke it open with some sharp shooting and a certain level of fearlessness, led by Kevin Love.

Wake recruit Al-Farouq Aminu has been arrested in Georgia and charged with aggravated assault and trespassing.Allegedly, Aminu shot a female with a BB gun from a car. Obviously a stupid move on his part. No word from Wake on any of this yet.
