Tuesday evening, Skip Prosser’s funeral will take place in Clemmons. Over the past six seasons, we’ve become aware of Prosser as an exceedingly smart guy, a funny guy, and more recently, become aware of just how highly people who deal with him on a regular basis regard him.

When Red Auerbach died, most of the fabled Celtics good luck seemed to go with him, and the franchise, really, has struggled since Len Bias died in 1986. But if a trade for Kevin Garnett goes through, the Celtics could be contenders again.
