Although former Devil Vince Taylor was a candidate for the UIC job, he didn’t get it. It went to Wisconsin assistant Howard Moore. As his boss Tubby Smith said, Vince is ready. The right job will come along soon.

The Miami Heat are wasting no time going international with their new troika: they’ll be hosting Euroleague power CSK Moscow, featuring former Duke great Trajan Langdon, on October 12th.

As it turns out, Jon Scheyer’s eye injury was quite severe: he injured the optic nerve in his right eye and the recovery period, uncertain as it is, is three to six months. Tough break to say the least.
