Big Game Links!

As the run-up to UNC starts, here’s an article on how Duke adjusted their defense for this year’s personnel. And also here are numerous links about the teams and the game Wednesday

Duke Downs Heels, 79-51

Duke got rivalry week under way in a nice way with a dominating win over UNC Monday night, winning 79-51.  They outrebounded the Heels 52-28, and placed six players in double figures.

Legs Again

Every year in February, it seems, there are questions about Duke’s legs.  Here are three articles that catch that wave, both focusing on the Big Three – Jon Scheyer, Kyle Singler, and Nolan Smith.

ACC Roundup!

In Tuesday night ACC action, B.C. travels to Wake Forest for a matchup with
the Deacs.

Best Mardi Gras Ever?

You’d have to think so with the Saints winning the Super Bowl, and in dramatic fashion, too. Great for the team, the city, and the NFL. Next Up For Women – UNC

The men UNC play Wednesday, but the women get thing started in Durham Monday night as the Tar Heels come calling.

ACC Roundup!

After watching the Maryland-UNC game, which Maryland won 92-71, there are some things that are pretty clear about both teams.

Big Weekend For Jeff Capel

At 13-9, Oklahoma is obviously off of last year’s pace, but Jeff Capel’s bunch picked up a tremendous win over #9 Texas Saturday and got a star turn from lightly regarded Ryan Wright.

Devils In The NBA!

If you like keeping up with Duke players in the NBA, here’s a quick way to keep track. Just click on the names and that’ll take you to their NBA pages with stats, photos and more. Enjoy!

Quote: Roy Williams On Marcus Ginyard

"When he walks in a room, I smile. What greater statement can you make about somebody? But I get tired of worrying about a kid’s psyche. My god, play the dadgum game. That’s what it boils down to. I have been concerned about (his mental health). I’ve been greatly concerned about that. But you know what? I’m also tired of thinking about that. It’s time to play. So either play or don’t play."
