After Louisville’s scandal involving prostitutes and recruits, the NCAA has suspended Rick Pitino for five ACC games.
Louisville has accepted the NCAA’s ruling. Also included: some games between 2010 and 2014 will be forfeited due to ineligible players.
The university is also fined $5,000 and will return its share of the ACC’s NCAA tournament revenues from 2012-15.
Louisville is also on probation through 2021.
The games he’ll be suspended for:
- home vs Virgina
- at Notre Dame
- at Georgia Tech
- home vs Pitt
- home versus Duke
Given Jim Boeheim’s previous penalty at Syracuse, we’re wondering what people at UNC-Las Vegas are thinking. Is there a message for the Tar Heels included in this? Because if anyone used ineligible players, it was UNC for nearly 20 years.
