A couple of ACC notes: first, State's Trevor Lacey is now going to be playing in Italy.
As Bret Strelow points out here, State hasn't done well in the draft lately. CJ Leslie is in the Dominican Republic; Cat Barber is looking for work. State's next one might do better.
As UNC-Las Vegas worked through its self-inflicted woes recently, it affected recruiting. The Heels might have taken Luke Maye, who came as a preferred walk-on, anyway. But he would've been one of those sort-of projects who might've turned out by his junior or senior year.
Or maybe not. And it wouldn't have mattered too much to be honest. UNC will have more talented players while he's enrolled.
Whatever you think of him, he seems like a worker. And guys who are willing to put the time in generally get rewarded.
The ACC led all leagues in draft picks this season with Duke's Brandon Ingram the first to go at #2 (there were nine overall).
