You can't say that Mark Gottfried isn't a hardworking and creative recruiter. Latest example: Ted Kapita had committed to SMU. He is no longer committed to SMU.
And more interestingly, he apparently decommited while visiting State.
In a small, limited way, you have to feel for Larry Brown. He graduated from UNC in 1963 and mostly left the ACC behind (even though he longed to come back to UNC as coach).
But the ACC never seems far away. His greatest college player, Danny Manning, is at Wake Forest now as head coach. If Duke's not irritating him, State's jumping in and possibly stealing a recruit.
His plans certainly aren't clear, but if he does commit to State (he had previously committed to Arkansas before committing to SMU), Brown's reaction is going to be interesting.
By the way, Cal's Jordan Matthews has canceled his visit to State.
