That hasn't happened at Duke in a really long time, although for some years both were truly bad, though that's not really the same thing.
We saw some signs from QB Thomas Sirk, and that was encouraging, but Duke's offense isn't as smooth as it usually has been under David Cutcliffe, but it is in transition. The move to younger players has so far been smoother for the defense.
If the offense can become reliable, Duke will hit a much higher level.
