There may be privacy concerns or something, but the fact that the university clearly knew, that there has been no evident discipline, certainly none publicly acknowledged, and that it might never have been acknowledged if Yahoo Sports hadn't reported it - well, that fits a recent pattern in Chapel Hill.
Whatever else you might have said about Chapel Hill 10 or 15 years ago, whatever you might have thought about the occasional trespasses of UNC athletes, the athletic department was a well-run fiefdom. It's increasingly hard to argue that today.
Note carefully: Boyer's father, rather than simply lashing out, refuses to comment. One could reasonably assume that he has spoken to an attorney, and that said attorney has been in regular contact with UNC since the alleged hazing began and has also advised the family to dummy up.
For now anyway.
