Not that it matters - anyone would be thrilled to have that guy on his side.
Now that things are settling back down, people are talking to Irving again. In this case, the Cleveland Plain Dealer asks his opinion about Andrew Wiggins vs. Kevin Love.
Irving is smart enough not to answer that question: "There are so many guys who have inside sources. Until it happens and I get the call from our GM, other than that I haven't really considered anything."
And to an extent, what difference does it make?
If you end up with Wiggins, you have an elite athlete who can develop into an incredible player. Both are young and should be the heart of the team long after King James calls it quits. Irving will be able to get the ball to Wiggins on the break and in transition. It could be a beautiful thing.
On the other hand, Love is a polished pro who brings consistent rebounding, scoring and professionalism, not to mention the best outlet pass in the game.
Whatever happens, Irving's burden will be considerably lessened, and given what he's been asked to do since coming to the Cavs, that's probably the best thing, aside from the prospect of winning.
